3, 44,507 Students Would Appear In 12thstandard Board Examination

Chandigarh, February 19, 2016: The board examination of 12th standard in Punjab which is going to commence on February 20, would continue till March 14, 2016. In this examination total 3, 44,507 students would appear. For the fair and smooth conduction of 10th and 12th standard board exam total 2671 examination centres have been set up, out of which 1411 centres would be exclusive for the 12th standard exam. All the preliminary arrangements have been completed by the Punjab School Education Board and Education Department. It was disclosed by Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab in a press communiqué released here today.
Dr. Cheema said that during the examination section 144 would be imposed around the examination centre and all the Deputy Commissioners and SSPs have been instructed to ensure imposition of section 144 and maintain law and order around all the examination centres. He said that in order to check the copying and unfair means during the examination the department has issued instructions PSEB, Department’s head office, Circle Education Officers (CEOs) and District Education Officers (DEOs) to constitute flying squad teams and to conduct surprise checking every examination centres. He said that the sensitive examination centres would be video graphed and permanent observers have been deputes at the centres.
The Minister further said that to deal with any emergency a control room has also been set up at PSEB head office which would work by 24X7. He said that anyone can lodge a complaint on Control No 0172-3047260, 3047260 and 3047260 or Email [email protected], [email protected].
