Noida, November 24, 2015: The Cyknights, the Technology Club of Delhi Public School Indirapruam organized an Inter-school Annual Computer Fest, ‘Tweek-2015’ on Tuesday. The event aimed at providing a forum for the students to showcase their technical expertise and share their knowledge to build a strong team. 17 schools from Delhi and NCR participated in this fest.
Mr. Anand Sundaresan, Business Head – HCL Learning was the Chief Guest for the fest. The Guests of Honour who graced the occasion were Mr. Krishna Sai, CTO, Embee Software Pvt. Limited, Mr. and Mrs. Avneesh Prakash, Vice President and Business Head Smart Chip, Pvt. Ltd., Ms. Mona Sharma, former HOD Computer Department, DPS Vasant Kunj and Ms. Rakhi, Project Head, HCL.
The Programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed guests and welcoming of the guests by the school Principal. In her address Mrs. Meeta Rai, Principal, DPS Indirapuram said that such events provide a great learning opportunity and a wonderful platform for the students to showcase their technical expertise in the times where storing analyzing, computing and calculating is an indispensable way of life. She also appreciated the spirit and endevours of the Computer Department of the school.
A plethora of activities like IT Quiz, Photography,Live Music Mixing, Online Cryptic Hunt, Coding, Gaming, Web Designing, Digital Art and Image Editing, Programming and Photoshop were conducted at different venues during the morning session with the aim to guide young minds in making their mark as budding IT revolutionaries in the ever changing IT industry .
The students of the school presented a short cultural programme during the valedictory session. The western music choir presented a melodious song – ‘Let’s Reach Out For The Sky’ followed by a vibrant dance performance ‘Striving For Excellence’ presented by the school dance troupe.
The honoured guests and the School Principal Mrs. Meeta Rai felicitated the winners with trophies and certificates. DPS Noida was declared the overall winner. The host school DPS Indirapuram, did not compete for any individual/team prize/trophy.
The Chief Guest Mr. AnandSundaresan congratulated the winners for their enthusiastic participation. He appreciated the efforts of the school Principal and the Management for providing such a great platform to the present generation of Whiz kids. He also commended the students for being so innovative, tech savvy and well versed with the latest digital technologies. He also urged the students to follow the cyber rules.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Sonia Shukla, Coordinator of the Computer Department of the school.
