Department of Economics of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organising Group Discussion.

Jalandhar, August 2, 2015: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar’s Department of Economics organised Group Discussion to sensitize the students about various aspects of Economy of a country.  Total 12 teams from classes of B.A., B.Sc., B.com. and M.Com. keenly participated in this venture.  In this competition, many burning issues of today like Swach Bharat Abhiyan, Punjabi Kabootar-Brain Drain, Corruption in India, Population Problem, Generation Gap, Present State of Agriculture, Present State of Punjab Economy,   Expectations of present generation from Indian Education System etc. were thoroughly discussed. 

Principal, Dr. Sucharita shared her views that such type of competitions not only improve the learning skills of aspiring students but also inflames their knowledge of up and downs of Economy. 

Prof. R.N. Ghai, Prof. S.M. Sharma and Dr. Apra judged the participants of the Group Discussion.  First position was grabbed by the team of Ravi Yadav, Vibha, Prabhsimran, Pulkit, Anirudh, Nirval and Archit whereas the team of B.A./B.Sc. of Varun, Gaurav, Harjot, Aastha, Rahul and Rajan stood second and the team of M.Com. stood third in this competition. 

Tanvi, Vibha, Amol, Ashutosh, Gopika, Ritika and Jasleen were given the prizes of best speakers.  Ms. Supreet S.J. Talwar, Head, Department of Economics, highly appreciated the efforts of all the participants.
