Ludhiana, October 29, 2017: Department of Radio-diagnosis and Imaging in association with Indian Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology organized a CME on ‘Interventional Radiology’ The CME was inaugurated by Principal Dr Sandeep Puri along with Medical Supdt Dr Sandeep Sharma and Assistant Dean Academics-Dr Sandeep Kaushal.

Organizing chairperson Dr Kavita Saggar emphasized that Interventional Radiology Procedures are minimally invasive, which save lives in critical conditions. She highlighted that Department of Radiology in DMCH is fully equipped centre offering full range of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.

Organizing Secretary-Dr Siddharth Prakash explained that the field of Interventional Radiology is rapidly developing and needs special skills. He encouraged the budding radiologists to take up this challenging specialty. Over 250 delegates from whole of North Indian attended the CME.

The President Dr Paramjeet Singh and Secretary Dr Navin Kalra of ISVIR Society (Chd,Pb,HP)Branch along with Dr N Khandelwal, Professor & Head of Radio-Diagnosis Department n PGIMER, Chandigarh actively participated in the conference.

Dr Kavita Saggar said that a lot of awareness is is necessary in the public about these procedures.
