Ludhiana, March 23, 2017: On the occasion of 86th Martyr's day, a tribute was paid to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, by Congress party on Thursday.
A tribute ceremony was being arranged under the guidance of Punjab Congress General Secretary Pawan Dewan, wherein party leaders paid homage to the martyrs.
Dewan said "we would only be able to do justice to the sacrifices done by all martyrs only if we follow their approach, by fulfilling the cause for which they sacrificed their lives. It was through the efforts, courage, will power of these martyr's which played a pivotal role in independence of India from Britishers."
Dewan and President of Indian Overseas Congress Canada Amarpreet Aulakh appealed all the party workers and especially the younger generation to work for good cause, separating themselves from all evils. Also, they praised on the crucial steps taken by Captain Amarinder Singh and to free Punjab from drug menance as with the help of these steps only, we would be able to achieve what Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru dreamt of.
All party leaders recalled the sacrifices of these great martyrs. Present on this ocassion included, Satwinder Singh Jawaddi, Baljinder Singh Bunty, Vinod Bathla, Inderjit Kapoor, Navneesh Malhotra.
