CII holds session on life-saving methods for Ludhiana Police and distributed 250 traffic jacket belts

Ludhiana, October 1, 2019: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised an interactive session on Life Saving Methods, that is BLS (Basic Life Support) & CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), with support of DMC Hospital for Ludhiana Police at Police Lines, Ludhiana, today. The session focussed on imparting training about life-saving methods for saving the lives of local citizens as well as workers in various industrial sectors. Rahul Ahuja, Vice Chairman, CII Punjab State Council and Director – Rajnish Industries Pvt Ltd., said “Our objective of organising today’s interaction is primarily to provide training (with live demonstration) to the Ludhiana Police Officers regarding lifesaving methods which they can use during the emergency while dealing with public. Besides, also explore areas where CII and Local Police authorities can work together.” Baldev Singh, Chairman, CII Ludhiana Zonal Council and Director – Amar Agricultural Implement Works, said, “Being an Industrial town with large migrant population and financial capital of Punjab, Ludhiana has its own set of challenges and to overcome those, the Police Department of our city is a key stakeholder. In this regard, today’s interaction with police officers of Ludhiana assumes great importance in respect to Safety of both police and civilians.” Rakesh Agrawal, Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana Police appraised the CII initiative by saying that today’s session would help Police to engage not only industry, but also the society at large and make them partners in creating a new Ludhiana which will be much safer and smarter in true sense. Dr Vivek Gupta, Consultant Anaesthesia & Intensive Care - DMC Hospital, Ludhiana also announced that with the help of our management of DMC Hospital, we are always ready to take such initiatives in favour of welfare of the society in collaboration with CII. And also thanked Mr Prem Gupta, General Secretary – DMC Hospital, Ludhiana who has given us an opportunity to work collectively with CII. Moreover, Traffic Florescent Jackets (Belts) have also been distributed to more than 250 Police Officials who actively participated in this session from Traffic department and PCR, to make it a great success. In this session, many CII industry members actively participated like S S Bhogal, Neeraj Satija, Ashpreet Singh Sahni, Inderjit Nagpal, Atul Dhanda, Gurpreet Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Guneh Singh and Manmeet Singh.
