CICU Conducts Training Program on Key Performance Indicators

Ludhiana, January 20, 2016: Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) conducted Training Program on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana, today.  

Shri Avtar Singh, President, CICU in his welcome address said that CICU has been organizing and conducting various Seminars ,Workshops and trade fairs etc regularly on important subjects such as Quality, Productivity, Cost Reduction, Environment Improvement, Finance, Management & IT, Hr Practices etc. which are very useful for the improvement and benefit of the Industry & Trade.

 

Shri Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary mentioned that CICU endeavors to make Ludhiana Industry a World Class in terms of quality productivity and management practices.  He further narrated that to attain this, concept of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) is must to be effectively practiced at all levels in our organizations.

 

The Program offered essential skills aimed at helping the participants to standardize and improve the various Key Performance Indicators at different levels. Understanding of appropriate KPIs would help the management to take data base decisions and focus its limited resources in a way which helps in fast improvements. The KPIs forms the foundation stone of performance management system in an enterprise.

 

The Interactive & Thought Provoking Program was conducted by Shri Rakesh Gupta, CEO, ACE-1 Consulting who is a member and fellow in the Management of many leading Industries.  He has more than 30 years rich experience in Automotive Industry & Engineering Industry.  He has worked with United Nations as National Expert to improve competitiveness of SMEs in Auto Components Industries. This one day program has been developed by the faculty through his vast and in-depth work experience of 30 years.

 

More than 55 participants comprising of Proprietors, Partners, Directors, Plant Heads & Sr. Level Managers attended the Program and learned about 9 Primary KPIs, 23 Secondary KPIs, Understanding of each KPI in detail, How to make monthly trend graphs of each KPI, Key methods to improve the KPI and Benefits of KPI to business units & enterprises, especially MSMEs that will help them to convert raw data into presentable data, easy analysis of data, correct and effective decisions based on data, focus on Proper Utilization of Limited Resources of their company, to monitor and correct, planning, development and execution of ongoing processes, future strategies, assured delivery of results, and fast improvements to increase overall profitability of organization.
