Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) organises Blood Donation Camp

Chandigarh, December 18, 2018: A blood donation camp was organized by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) at ISBT, Sector 43 here today. Chief guest of the programme was Dr.Ajay Kumar Singla (IAS), Secretary, Transport, UT Chandigarh, while the guest of honour was Mr Amit Talwar (PCS), Director, Transport, UT Chandigarh.

A total of 175 units of blood was collected by the Social Service Unit of GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Prominent among those who attended the camp, included Mr Amit Gupta, General Manager, CTU, Mr Yashjeet Gupta, General Manager, CTU, Ashok Kumar, Satish Naru, Gurpreet Singh, Gagan Singh, Paramjeet Sharma, Ajay Sharma and Jaswant Singh, among others.

Mr Ravinder Singh, CTU said, “Our people remain on the roads round the clock and accidents are part of the job, therefore, we thought of blood donation camps, so that we get blood whenever required for our own needs also.”
