Mumbai: The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), in partnership with the Hotel Investment Forum India (HIFI) honored Amruda Nair, young CEO of Aiana Hotels & Resorts with the Rising Star Award South Asia on 17 November 2016 at the JW Marriott Hotel Mumbai Sahar.

“The ‘future’ of the tourism industry in South Asia is bright, and we are happy to honor the exceptional Amruda Nair with the annual Rising Star Award. The nominees this year were stellar, and Amruda rose to the top of the list,” said Jim Burba, President, BHN.

As Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aiana Hotels & Resorts, Amruda brings a global perspective and experience with leading international hospitality brands. She is responsible for the design of the brand's signature programing as well as spearheading the company's overall business development with a unique proposition that will define the next wave of smart hospitality. Amruda serves on multiple boards and organizations including Camphor and Allied Products Limited, Entrepreneur’s Organization Mumbai and Apne Aap Women’s Collective, an anti-trafficking organization that serves women and children in Mumbai’s red light district.

ISHC launched the Rising Star Award South Asia in 2014 in partnership with HIFI to recognize young, emerging leaders in the rapidly expanding hospitality market. Nomination criteria requires an individual be 35 years or younger, have a minimum of five years in a hotel development and/or investment related field and be currently living and working in South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) with a minimum of two years experience in the market.
