Aviva India appoints C Shankar as the Chief Operations, IT & Customer Services Officer

Aviva Life Insurance, announced the appointment of C Shankar as the Chief Operations, IT & Customer Services Officer. Mr Shankar will be based out of Aviva Life Insurance’s head office in Gurgaon.

Speaking on the appointment, Mr Trevor Bull, MD and CEO, Aviva India, said, “We are very excited to have Shankar on board. His varied experience and in-depth understanding of the operations of multinational organizations, along with his ability to lead diverse team structures, will be a great asset to us. I am sure Shankar will contribute significantly towards Aviva India’s continuous endeavors of producing positive customer outcomes and in the process, play an important role in building the company’s future.”

Mr. C Shankar said, “I am delighted to join Aviva and be part of the insurance industry after spending 23 years in banking. I look forward to deploy my learnings from the banking industry to further enhance customer experience.”

Mr. Shankar has an experience of 23 years of working across geographies in national and international markets. Prior to Aviva, Shankar was the General Manager, Operations at The Saudi Investment Bank. He has also worked in leading organisations like Citibank NA, Al Rajhi Bank, National Bank of Kuwait and Arab Bank.
