Chandigarh, December 6, 2016: Describing her as an iconic figure whose death has left a deep void, Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder on Tuesday lamented the sad demise of Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalitha.
In a statement, Captain Amarinder said Jayalalitha will always be remembered as a strong and courageous woman who successfully lived her life on her own terms. Her indomitable spirit will continue to inspire the people of India even in her death, said the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president.
May her soul rest in peace, said Captain Amarinder, expressing deep sorrow at the passing away of a legend, whose charismatic persona had a long-lasting impact on every person she came in contact with.
