Jalandhar, September 5, 2015: “The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes, and inspires his listener with the wish to teach himself.”

In India September 5th is celebrated as Teacher’s day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. September 5th is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was the well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a Teacher. 

Teacher is like a tree that gives shade to the ones who give shelter. A teacher is someone who devotes his/her life in order to generate the competitive advantage among the students. In order to appreciate the efforts put by teacher throughout her career, Cambridge International School (Chotti Baradari) conducted a grand celebration on the occasion of Teacher’s day.It was celebrated with immense zeal and verve. Student council jointly organized the programme. The day was as memorable as it could be. The celebration commenced with a speech on teacher- student relationship. Students came forward and presented different items. The programme was on fire with the marvelous various performances by the students. The faculty members also shared their thoughts on this day; they metaphorically compared the teacher as ‘Sugar in curd’. To mark this occasion students also organized various games for teachers, in which they showcased their talent and desire to win.

Chairman Mr Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Mr Deepak Bhatia, Director Learning Wings Mr J.K.Kohli, Mr Nitin Kohli and Academic Director Ms Deepa Dogra, Principal of Cambridge Foundation Ms Meenu Huria, Vice Principal of Cambridge Girls Ms Preeti and Principal of Cambridge (Co-ed) Ms. Kiranjot Dhillon congratulated the teachers and said that the greatest honour for a teacher could be love and affection receives from his/her pupils.The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was indeed a day of joy, love and respect for the teachers.
