Shimla, December 4, 2015: It was a special day for Children of Blind, Deaf and Dumb School Dhalli when they spent their day with Governor Acharya Devvrat at Rajbhawan today. During his previous visit to the School. Governor had  asked the staff to ensure providing them recreational facilities and organise picnics especially one to Rajbhawan.

Governor hosted lunch for them and also distributed woollen tracksuits to 125 children of the school.

He interacted with all the students and asked to develop confidence in themselves to progress ahead in life. He said that every child was talented and it was necessary to explore and choose a goal in life. He said  that they could excel in their lives despite all the challenges and added that hard work, sincerity and dedication were the keywords to be successful in life.

Acharya Devvrat lauded the efforts of the teachers of the special children who were serving them with dedication. He urged them to discharge their duties as a mission to serve the humanity. He said that they should understand the needs of special children, try to identify their hidden potential and encourage them to perform well. He said that focus should be laid on making them independent so that they need not depend on others. State Government was also making best efforts to provide them all facilities, he added.

The staff of Rajbhawan took the children around the entire premises where they spent some time in lawns.

Sh Pushpendra Rajput, Secretary to Governor, Sh J R Katwal Director Women and Child Development, staff of the School and Rajbhawan were present on the occasion.

 Later, Governor also participated in a function organised by NGO Almighty Blessings at Gables, Mashobra. He distributed woollen suits and sweaters to 34 inmates of Nari Sewa Sadan. He also had lunch with them.

Acharya Devvrat called upon the NGOs and other social organisations to come forward to transform the lives of needy and destitute persons in the society as it was the collective responsibility of each one of us to serve humanity and uplift the downtrodden.

He stressed upon imparting vocational training to the inmates of Nari Sadan so that they could become independent and lead their lives respectfully without depending upon others. He said that proper counselling facilities should be made available besides making efforts to enrich their lives by introducing yoga and other recreational activities.

 Sh Sarabjit Singh Bobby President NGO Almighty Blessings welcomed the Governor.
