Students perform during Basant Panchami celebrations at Cambridge International School, Jalandhar.

Jalandhar, January 24, 2015: Festival Basant Panchami is celebrated enthusiastically in India but the celebration of this festival is spectacular in Punjab, Haryana and all Northern regions. It marks the beginning of the much awaited spring season in India. On this day the blue sky gets filled with the colorful kites and it’s a sight worth seeing. To celebrate this festival Cambridge International School (Co-ed) organised a special assembly on this auspicious occasion. Various presentations show casing traditional fervor heightened feeling of devotion among the students. To keep alive the flame of tradition, students presented a colorful dance and shared their views on the significance of the day and highlighted the importance of the day. A beautiful poem was recited by a student and some of them enjoyed singing traditional songs. Students also brought yellow dishes and sweets in their lunch boxes and shared it with their friends.

Chairman Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Deepak Bhatia, Director Learning Wings J.K. Kohli, Nitin Kohli and Academic Director Deepa Dogra, Principal Kiranjot Dhillon congratulated the whole Cambridge family on this auspicious occasion. As this day ushers in the environment of elation which spreads it’s magic all over.
