An Awareness Rally being held at H.M.V, Jalandhar to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali.
Jalandhar, November 10, 2015: A rally was organised by Environment club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar under the leadership of Principal Dr.Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj. The students were urged to celebrate safe, peaceful and pollution free Diwali. Principal Dr.Bhardwaj directed the students to undertake a pledge to stop the practice of bursting crackers. Dr.Anjana Bhatia, Secretary, Environment Club informed the students about the rise in disease incidence and animal deaths due to bursting of crackers. Students organized a rally to urge the citizens to celebrate green Diwali. Mrs. M. Syal, Dean Academics, Dr. Jyoti Kaul, Incharge, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Secretary, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Incharge NSS were present on the occasion.
