ASSURANCE: Ferzepur MC to get Rs. 1-Cr immediately for development

Ferozepur, December 1, 2012:   Punjab  Local Bodies Minister, Bhagat Chuni Lal, while addressing the businessmen, representatives of various social organisations, at Municipal Council, Ferozepur, after listening the problems said, the problems being faced by the local citizens would be solved shortly.  

On this occasion, Kamal Sharma, political advisor to chief minister, Punjab Ashwani Grover, president municipal council, D. P. Chandan, former vice chairman, Punjab small traders board, Ashwani Mehta, president, Beopar Mandal, Sat Pal Bajaj, Surinder Singh Bagge Ke Pippal, Baldev Chopra, District BJP president, Narinder Mukhija and Akali-BJP municipal councilors were present.

Ashwani Grover, president municipal council informed that the monthly expenditure of  Municipal Council, Ferozepur  is about Rs.85 lakhs whereas the VAT amount being received is only Rs. 27 lakh.  He further said that A Class municipal committee should get at least Rs.50 lakh per month. 

Bhagat Chuni Lal said, “Solution to the problems of citizens of Ferozepur like sewerage, drinking water, roads, would be taken care shortly and Rs.1 crore will be released immediately for the development works in the city.”

He further said, Kamal Sharma has apprised him about the problems of the Ferozepur and president and EO of municipal council have been advised to prepare a detailed project report and all the problems would be solved in the coming days.
