Ludhiana, December 23, 2016: Baby of Pinky, a newborn male was admitted in critical condition at Christian Medical College (CMC) and Hospital with the absence of his food-pipe since birth. The child’s parents are daily wage laborers, whose financial situation is extremely precarious. The child was operated at in the Department of Pediatric Surgery CMCH and underwent a major operation where a new food-pipe has been made for the child. Post operatively the child has needed ICU care and is on a ventilator as he has been having recurrent pneumonias. The child will now require a further operation to control the backflow of food from the stomach which is because of the absence of a valve in the stomach.

The child is in a serious condition and till now most of the cost has been borne by Christian Medical College & Hospital. The child needs further treatment and will need more financial help. Donations from well meaning individuals and groups are urgently solicited to help the life of this small baby.

This is an open appeal to all the generous citizens to come forward and kindly consider donating for the benefit of the patient.
