Winners of `Elocution Competition' held at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, August 26, 2015: The Department of English of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised 'Elocution Competition' on August 22. As many as 18 students participated in the competition with full zeal. The elocutors were assigned very interesting topics viz. History Repeats Itself, There Is a Woman behind Every Man's Success, Brand Consciousness Among Youth and Are First Impressions Trustworthy? The students showcased their public speaking skills and evinced varied thoughts on these well-chosen topics. Dr. Sushma Shair, Head, Department of Punjabi, Dr. Sunit Kaur, Head, Department of English, Assistant Prof. Gulshan Kumar, Assistant Prof. R.K. Sharma and Assistant Prof. Sandeep Singh presided over as judges. Rajat Sharma bagged first position while Divya and Aditi got second position whereas Komal occupied the third position. Principal, Dr. Sucharita congratulated the winners and Mr. Rohit Chatrath, the organizer of the event; she also opined that such confidence building exercises enhance the oratorical skill of the students and prove highly beneficial in the long run.
