Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrates National Unity Day

Jalandhar, November 1, 2014: Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) on Friday.  This day commemorates Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary whose contribution to India’s unity, safety and security is a well documented fact.

As a mark of honour for his contribution in these spheres, a function was organised in the college in which the students were enlightened about their role in nation building.  Students were acquainted with the moral values of the freedom fighters and nation builders to inspire them to contribute towards upliftment of the country as well as to safeguard the unity and integrity of our motherland.

The Principal of the College, Dr. Sucharita reiterated the need for using the occasion to spread the message of cooperation and unity amongst the Youth of today on whose shoulders rests the future of our country. The students took Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledges and sang the National Anthem.
