Extension Lecture at Guru Kashi University

Talwandi Sabo, January 14, 2014: Eminent Punjabi writer and former head of department of journalism and mass communication of Punjabi University Patiala Dr Narinder Singh Kapoor stated in his address at Guru Kashi University that change in source of energy leads to changes in era.  He said after the hunting, agriculture and science, now the technology is biggest assets of today’s world and energy sources keep on changing.
Dr.Kapoor further added that in the past era cattle count was the source of energy taken over by, machine energy and now in the 21st century, technology utilising solar energy is strengthening the generations.
Dr.Kapoor said that the biggest invention of  mankind is fire followed by the invention of wheel and discovery of underground water. Regarding Guru Kashi University Dr. Kapoor said that Guru Gobind Singh blessed this place as center of learning around three centuries ago.
On this occasion, Prof. and former head of Department of English from Punjabi University Patiala Dr. Ranjit Kaur said that few more institutions for higher education should be established in countryside for the overall development rural areas.
Dr. Gurbhajan Singh Gill Director (Planning & Development) said that because of the rich thoughts and writings, Dr. Kapoor secured place in the hearts of the people.
While presiding over the function Dr. N.S.Malhi stated that Guru Kashi University is established with the objective of imparting quality education.
