Shabad gayan and quiz competitions mark day 6 of PAU Youth Fest

Ludhiana, November 4, 2014: The shabad gayan and quiz competitions marked the sixth day of Inter- College Youth Festival at the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Besides, music items were held yesterday at evening, wherein Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU was the chief guest. The Dean, College of Home Science, Dr Jasvinder Kaur Sangha presided over today’s morning session.

Dr Dhillon urged the youth to grab the opportunities in order to make a mark in life. He said that healthy competitions infuse self-confidence and widen the horizons of the student fraternity. Besides, he urged the students to uphold their ethics, moral values, culture and make significant contribution towards the society at large.

Dr Sangha expressed that spirit of competition is must and that students should maintain a balance between academics and extra-curricular activities for all round personality enhancement. The young generation should come forward and shoulder responsibilities in life, she said.

Earlier, DrRavinder Kaur Dhaliwal, Director Students’ Welfare welcomed the dignitaries, PAU faculty and the students. She told that one act play, mime and mimicry events will be held at evening today.
