Anurag Thakur urges youth to stay away from the deadly Blue Whale game

Dharamshala, September 8, 2017: The recent incident of a 5th standard student, who was saved from the blue whale menace, has left the entire State worried. Taking a lead on this, Member of Parliament Hamirpur, Anurag Thakur made an appeal to both the youth and parents to ensure that everyone stays away from this deadly game and rather engage in sports to lead a healthy lifestyle.
Commenting on this, Thakur said, “Today’s teenagers live in a fast paced, virtual world which has both pros and cons. However, constant engagement and interaction between youth and parents is critical. It is must that there is open conversation between children and elders as it help in addressing issues of any kind at the very nascent stage. This certainly will work towards fighting any kind of stigma and offer support to individuals in a timely and preventive manner.”
“I have always been an advocate of promoting sports amongst youth as it ensures that their energies remain channelized in the right direction and helps in personality development. Therefore, I urge all the parents to encourage their children to pursue sport of their choice, as that will go a long way in benefiting them, both mentally and physically, “he added.
