Annual Cultural Function-2016 at Panjab University

Chandigarh, March 21, 2016: Students’ Central Association, Department of Evening Studies - MDRC today organized the “Annual Cultural Function - 2016” at University Auditorium, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh.
The event was dedicated to appreciate the services of Professor V.K. Mahajan and Dr. Vijay Kataria, who are completed their services this year.
Former, Union Cabinet Minister, Government of India Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal was the Chief Guest on this august occasion. His wife Mrs. Madhu Bansal was the Guest of Honour. It was marked by cultural programme of the Students of the Department who showcased their vibrant energy and talents in such categories as “Sufiyana Kalaam, Ladakhi Dance, Guitar Medley, Mime, Skit, Giddah, Bhangra etc”. The rhythmic movements, the melodious melodies and dramatic performances captured the hearts of the audience. Above 1000 attended the function and that was full of gaiety, mirth and merriment.
The Chairperson, Professor Keshav Malhotra applauded and congratulated the Faculty, Staff and the students for their academic, administrative, sports, social and cultural achievements at different levels. More than two hundred outstanding students were given Prizes for their accomplishments.
