Amit To Represent India In Youth Asian Basketball Championship

Chandigarh, October 23, 2015: Amit of The New Public School, Sector 18 B, Chandigarh has been selected to represent India in Youth Asian Basketball Championship going to be held at Jakarta, Indonesia from October 28 to November 07, 2015. He was admitted in The New Public School in 2011 under sports scholarship, since then he has achieved great heights in Basketball under the coaching of Jugraj Singh (Secretary Chandigarh Basketball Association) and Amit (Basketball Coach). He has been representing Chandigarh in different age categories. Amit belongs to a small village Kiloi, District Rohtak, Haryana. His father Sh Subhashis a farmer and he is very excited on his selection in India team.

Amyjot Singh was the first player of New Public School who got selected in India youth to participate in Asian youth Basketball championship held in Russia (2008-09). He is playing for the Indian team presently.
