Jalandhar: A team from Ministry of Defence (Indian Navy) who had visited DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), Jalandhar on 9th & 10th November, 2016 for conducting Campus Interviews under University Entry Scheme. 250 + B. Tech. students from Daviet, Jalandhar and also from 15 other Engineering Colleges of Punjab were appeared on first day and 150+ B. Tech. students from DAVIET, Jalandhar and also from 10 other Engineering Colleges and universities of Punjab were appeared on second day.
All these candidates shall be receiving the SSB Interview call letters in the month of December 2016 at their correspondence address and they shall be required to appear in the interview either in Bhopal or Bangalore in the month of January, 2017. After their final selection the candidate will be commissioned in Indian Navy as an Officer and he will get an Golden opportunity to work on Navy’s Ships, Submarines & Air Crafts which are equipped with high-tech technology.
Mr. Sushil Prashar, Training and Placement Officer appreciated the hard work put in by students and highlighted that special efforts were done to make them ready for interviews. He shared that special guest lectures and workshops were organized from time to time to make the students sharpen their skills to face such interviews. He also thanked the Principal for his constant support and guidance.
Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET congratulated the students on their success. He wished them the best of luck for all their future endeavours. He highlighted that DAVIETians have always been passionate about placement in Indian Navy.
