AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION DAY CELEBRATED BY KVK, FARIDKOT

Ludhiana, December 4, 2017: KVK Faridkot under the guidance of Dr Jagdish Grover (Associate Director) celebrated agricultural education day at Government Senior Secondary School for girls and Government Senior Secondary School for boys separately at village Panjgrian kalan on December 1. The programme was attended by 250 girls and 230 boys. Dr Jaswinder Kaur Brar (Prof.Home Sci.) KVK Faridkot explained about the importance of agricultural education for the rural students. Further, the students were informed about different courses at Punjab Agricultural university, Ludhiana and their admission criteria. The students were encouraged to continue their education to impove their quality of life and better future. Dr Munish Kumar (Assistant Prof.animal sci.) emphasized the role of livestock production in upliftment of rural agrarian society and students were guided about the agriculture allied courses as an option for their career. Prospects of agricultural education were also explained to the students.
