Capt Amarinder to hold roadshow in Gurdaspur on Monday

Chandigarh, October 8, 2017: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will hold a road show in support of Congress nominee Sunil Jakhar on the last day of electioneering for the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha by-election on Monday.

The day-long campaign will see Captain Amarinder meet people across Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Dhariwal and Batala areas of the constituency.

The campaign will kickstart at 11 a.m. from Road New Chakki Bridge in Pathankot, where he will cover Dhangu Chowk, Peer Baba Chowk, Lightan Wala Chowk and Valmiki Chowk before stopping at the Indira Colony bus stand. The Chief Minister will then pass through Sujanpur, Railway Crossing, Tempo Chowk and Bridge Number 5, stopping at various places on the way, before leaving for Gurdaspur.

In Gurdaspur, the Chief Minister will begin his roadshow at around 1 p.m. from Suajanda Nagal Phatka, Jahaj Chowk, Hanuman Chowk, Library Chowk, Post Office Chowk and Kanuwan Chowk.

Captain Amarinder will be received at Little Flower School in Dhariwal, where he will proceed to Tarija Nagar, Dhariwal City, Modgil Petrol Pump and Shah Petrol Pump.

The roadshow will culminate in Batala, passing through various prominent local landmarks, including Kandial Bye-pass, Police Line T-Point, Kanda Chowk, Hansli Bridge, RR Bawa College, Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Hall, Tip Top Chowk, Cinema Road, Y-point near Gurdwara Sat Kartarian and Gandhi Chowk, among others.
