Aggar Naggar, Block B, Ludhiana community centre proving “nuisance”; Residents complain to Distt Admn

Ludhiana, June 17, 2019: Sarabha Nagar Police Station has initiated an inquiry into a complaint filed by some residents of Aggar Naggar, Block B, Ludhiana. The complainants under their signatures had filed a written complaint to Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, requesting him to intervene in the working of community centre, Aggar Naggar, Block B, Ludhiana with a view to check activities causing disturbance to peaceful atmosphere of the posh colony. “Now, the complaint has been marked to Sarabha Nagar Police Station, Ludhiana and an inquiry into it has been started”, said Mohinder Aggarwal, one of the colony residents while speaking to City Air News, adding that they have received two SMSs in this regard. Further, Aggarwal said they have stated in the complaint that the functions are being held in the colony’s community centre after 6pm. In this regard they want to know whether or not these functions are held only after taking permission from District Administration. In-fact, the colony residents have to face noise pollution and other problems due to holding of functions at community centre. Parking of vehicles is one of the major problems after noise pollution. The complainants have categorically complained about open use of loudspeakers, thus causing disturbance to the colony residents, especially affecting the studies of students. They pointed out that no one had the right to cause disturbance in the night. They categorically stated that community centre is not meant for holding marriage functions and disturbing peaceful atmosphere of the locality. The residents have urged upon the administration to depute police personnel after 6pm for checking the ongoing activities, to ensure peaceful atmosphere there. When contacted on Monday, Kulbir Bhardwaj from Police Station Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana who is inquiring into the complaint told City Air News that they had received the complaint following which they had called Manager of Ludhiana Aggarwala Cooperative House Building Society, Aggar Naggar, Ludhiana. “The manager has been asked to give us a copy of decisions taken at Ludhiana Aggarwala Cooperative House Building Society, Aggar Naggar, Ludhiana, following which we shall proceed further in this regard”, said Bhardwaj adding that manager would give them the required document probably tomorrow.
