`Afreen’ – exhibition of intricate designer wear, handcrafted lifestyle products and more begins
Chandigarh, August 30, 2019: With the wedding season around the corner, a three day exhibition featuring over 50 designers - ‘Afreen’, has kicked off at Kisan Bhawan, Sector 35, Chandigarh. The event is being organised by Planning Gurus in association with Royal Day Events, who have brought some very fresh, elegant & traditional products in designer wear and other lifestyle enhancing products from across India. The famous ‘Banarsi Saree’, Jaipur’s renowned Bandhini attires & ‘Pakistani traditional floral suits’ are attracting a lot of attention of visitors. Collections include traditional designer wear, Indo-Western apparels, jewellery, home décor items, furniture etc and all pieces which have been created painstakingly by artisans. Rattandeep Singh Walia, Director of Planning Gurus said, “We have got exhibitors who have brought latest designer collections. The response on the inaugural day has been very good and we are hopeful of footfall increasing even further in coming days.” Pooja Chaudhary, Director of the Royal Day Events said, “The exhibition is a paradise for shoppers of all ages. In trend designers are present with unique collections. The tricity people will also witness a range of home décor items and handicraft products here.” The highlights are beautiful ‘Banarsi Sarees and Dupattas’ brought from Banaras which is a rich weaving craft locale of India. The ensembles are being displayed by ‘Bibz Fashion’. A fine & heavy work of gold and silver brocade or ‘zari’ embroidery in cotton and silk fabrics are making these garments stand out. Fatima Fabrics Banaras, is also here. ‘Akar’ has Jaipuri block printed attires while ‘Abrar Chanderi Handloom’ has a range of beautiful Chanderi garments. At the exhibition, visitors are flocking also to see the comprehensive range of beautiful traditional floral designed ‘Pakistani cotton suits’ displayed by ‘Florina’ from Amritsar. ‘Vareena Couture’ from Jaipur is showcasing some exquisite pieces of Jaipuri kurti’s, suits and traditional Bandhini designed suits. A Delhi based designer Ritu Lamba is displaying colorful printed suits and dresses, while ‘Royal Creations’ from Patiala is presenting floral suits at the event. Indo-Western wear dresses have been brought by ‘Koklachi’ from Panchkula. There is a showcase for kids too. ‘Great Fashion Hub by Preeti Kesari’ has a wide variety of kids’ accessories and dresses. Fashion accessories are not far behind. In the exhibition, fashionistas are having a great time picking up artificial silver and gold purses presented by ‘Kohinoor’ from Mumbai. The visitors are spoilt for choice with a bevy of handbags, purses, etc displayed by ‘Miss Attitude’, Delhi. Aman is presenting very unique handmade designer diary covers, which are wooing visitors. ‘Ruby Creation’ from Chandigarh & ‘Royal Superior’ from Delhi have in their stables elegant artificial jewellery items like necklaces, earrings, rings and lots more. Rajasthan Art Jaipur is also displaying. Karigarifurniture is presenting an array of furniture products which are available at heavy discounts. In home décor items, city based Ekta Gulati has colourful designer cushion and pillow cover sheets, while ‘Home Story’ is there with customized pillow covers & bed sheets. Rajasthan Art a& Craft has an attractive showcase of marble based décor products.
