Actors Simrankaur Mundi, Samiksha Singh, Zarine Khan and Sangram Singh glamorize the Finale!

Ludhiana, November 2, 2014 – 5th edition of Blenders Pride Punjab International Fashion Week 2014 witnessed a designer from Mumbai and Kolkata along with the cradle of designers from iNIFD setting new trends in Ludhiana today. BPPIFW endeavours to promote, support designers who have shown on Indian runways and made a mark or created a spark in the industry.

This edition includes showings by the host designer, Sonu Gandhi along with five established Indian and one International designer. In addition to this, Ritu Kolentine will showcase a hair & makeup show and the cradle of designers from iNIFD will highlight new ideas in the fashion industry. A BPPIFW gets a grand opening with a mesmerizing collection by designer duo Mona Pali. Sanjana Jon a popular name in the International Fashion Industry is today a force to reckon with. Her glamorous designs will feature as the ‘Grand Finale’ for BPPIFW. A first of its kind fashion theatre – Couple Trouble will be seen on the finale day.

Film actress, Simrankaur Mundi and actor Arjan Bajwa have been appointed as the Style Ambassadors for BPPIFW. Industry stalwarts Mr. Lovell Prabhu and Mr. Rahul Dev Shetty will direct and choreograph all the shows.

The third day opening of the fashion week saw a fashion theatre – Couple Trouble, host designer Sonu Gandhi, a hair & make up show by Ritu Kolentine followed by the finale show by Internationally acclaimed New York based designer Sanjana Jon.

 

Couple Trouble - a fashion theatre play produced by The Films and Theatre Society (FTS) and directed by Atul Satya Koushik paints the picture of sexual fantasies of married men and women and at the same time tries to expose their double standards brought from the Indian urban background who want to have sexual pleasure outside their marriages.

 

Sonu Gandhi also known as the Fashion Diva of Punjab has changed the rich and famous, of the city, dress up. Having won the Mrs Calcutta pageant twice Sonu started her fashion career by holding exhibitions across the country. Always known for her intricate and rich embroideries Sonu Gandhi is presenting her collection this year in vibrant colors, cuts and styles keeping in mind the tradition of Punjab. Her wearable classy collection speaks of subtleness, simplicity and innovation. BPPIFW style ambassador and actor Simrankaur Mundi was the show stopper.

 

Ritu Kolentine is Certified Bridal Make-Up Artist, Cosmetologist, and a certified International Make-up Artist from USA and Canada is a renowned name amongst the Bollywood actresses, models, celebrities, brides, and grooms. After spending over a decade in Canada, has ventured out to establish Makeover Studios with complete care across north India. Every child dreams to be beautiful and wants to experience the same at some point of time. Actress Sameksha highlighted her dreams from heaven.

 

Sanjana Jon, a designer – Internationally acclaimed from New York is often known for her belief in a cause. The collection is inspired by the amazing beauty of women and the inherent power that they stand for. The western styles are very Parisian and cut to enhance the beauty and essence of nature. The romance that flow through attire is also inherent but the amazing simplicity in the silhouettes. Style and spirituality are truly prevalent in Kerala and the women enforce and enhance this is the true sense - the entire collection reflects the same. Bringing a blend and balance of the East and West has been a huge part of this particular collection. From the cuts of the west to the flow of the East Style and Spirituality represents the power of women. Actress Zarine Khan and our lovely hulk Sangram Singh walked for her.
