80 attend ‘diet awareness’ camp at Kalka College
Panchkula, September 6, 2019: As many as 80 staff members attended a ‘diet awareness’ camp at Smt.Aruna Asaf Ali Government PG Collage, Kalka on Friday. The camp was organized by Ojas Super Specialty Hospital, Panchkula in association with the college Home science department Kusum Adya, Principle of college inaugurated the camp. In camp dietician Shivani Gulati provided diet consultations to staff besides other general check-ups were also done during the occasion. Speaking during occasion, Shivani Gulati said that while breakfast is given the reputation of being the most important meal of the day, eating lunch is just as essential to staying healthy. Going too long without food denies your body glucose, the sugar that supplies your brain with energy. Skipping lunch also slows down your metabolism, leads to overeating and makes it difficult to meet your nutrient needs for the day, she asserted.
