4.820 KG HEROIN AND AMMUNITION RECOVERED DURING JOINT SEARCH OPERATION

Ferozepur, June 20, 2019: The sleuths belonging to Punjab Police and 29 Battalion of BSF have recovered 4.820 kg heroin and five live Pakistani rounds during a joint search operation. Giving details Sandip Goyal SSP Ferozepur said that police had received inputs about the consignment following which a search operation was carried out near border out post (BOP) DT Mal in Mamdot area. During the search operation, 4.820 Kg heroin was recovered from border pillar number 193/9 near the fencing besides five live Pakistani rounds (7.63 bore) were also recovered.
A case under sections 21,61,85 NDPS Act and 25,54,59 Arms Act was registered at Mamdot police station (Case number 57 dated 20.06.19). The SSP said that the police has started its investigation to nab the accused.
