Jalandhar, August 11, 2014: A ten day Combined Annual Training Camp of 2nd Punjab Girls Battalion NCC concluded here on 10 Aug 2014, which was conducted at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Jandiala (Jalandhar) from 01 Aug 2014 to 10 Aug 2014.   The camp was conducted under the leadership of Col R Yadav with the assistance of the Associate NCC Officers, Army instructors and civil staff.   This camp was attended by approximately 367 NCC cadets from different Colleges and Schools of Doaba region alongwith cadets of other units of Jalandhar Group.
In the beginning of the Camp, Camp Comdt Col R Yadav addressed to all the staff and cadets.   In his address he highlighted the importance of duty & discipline which is the moto of NCC.   Col R Yadav also motivated the cadets to become better citizen and motivated them to join Armed forces to serve the mother land.   A number of competitions between the cadets were conducted during the Camp.
During this camp a lecture on traffic rules was conducted in which Head Constable Shamsher Singh and Head Constable Ramesh of Traffic Police Jalandhar gave a lecture on traffic rules to the cadets.  Cadets were also taught Map reading, Drill,  Health & Hygiene etc.    Blood donation camp was organised in which 16 cadets donated blood to Civil hospital Jandiala.    A firing competition was also organised for the cadets.
Dr Ved Prakash gave a lecture to the cadets on AIDS, Malaria & Health & Hygiene.   Tree Plantation was also conducted by the cadets alongwith Camp Commandant Col R Yadav.
On the concluding day of the camp a cultural programme was organised. The Camp Commandant Col R Yadav, appreciated the efforts put in by all cadets and exhorted them to further improve their performance.    Prize distribution function was organised and the cadets were rewarded with medals and trophies for their performance in the Camp.
