Talwandi Sabo, November 24, 2017: To sensitize and aware the students and drivers, Cultural and Social Welfare Committee, Guru Kashi University organized a seminar on “Road Safety”. S.Udaydeep Singh Sidhu (PCS), Secretary, Regional Transport Authority (Bathinda) was the Guest of Honour. Dr.Harpreet Kaur Aulakh, Incharge Cultural and Social Welfare Committee, GKU delivered the welcome address and apprised the audience concerning the life and achievements of S.Udaydeep Singh Sidhu (PCS). S. Sidhu said that one should consider adherence to traffic rules as it is a fundamental duty of every citizen and urged the participants to follow the traffic rules.S. Hakam Singh, Traffic Incharge briefed the students and drivers about road safety and traffic rules including the rules for pedestrians. Dr. (Col). Bhupinder Singh Dhaliwal, the Vice-Chancellor also talked about the importance of such academic activities to prevent road users from being killed or seriously injuredanddiscussed the road safety measures.The seminar was presided over by S. Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Managing Director, GKU. The Managing Director also lauded the Cultural and Social Welfare Committee for organizing such productive events. All the students, faculty and drivers activity participated in the interactive session. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Amit Tuteja. The event was also attended by S. Gurdev Singh, Raj Baber, Dr. Laab Singh Kheva.
