A lecture was organized by the Press Club and History Department at DAV College on the occasion of the Constitution Day. In this seminar, the tribute was given to Indian Constitution Maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.

It is notable that the Government has decided to celebrate November 26 as the Constitution Day. On this day the Indian Constitution was accepted in the year 1949. For the first time by the Government of India for the first time since this great contribution of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated on November 26, "Constitution Day" was celebrated. On November 26, it was chosen to spread the significance of the constitution and to spread the ideas and concepts of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Addressing the program, Dr. Kiranjit Randhawa , Head of History Department, highlighted the important points of the preamble of the Indian Constitution. Dr. Kiranjit said that Dr. Ambedkar was a forerunner of Constitution-Maker as well as enlightened thinker and social revivalist.
He fought against the existing conservative beliefs and inequalities and social justice and weaknesses. She said that despite being the world's largest constitution, the Indian Constitution has given stability to the country. The constitution has established a great synergy between the legislature and the judiciary, which is its unique feature.Dr Kiranjit said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is said to be the father of the Constitution of India. Following India's independence, the Congress Government invited Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar to serve as the first law minister of India. He was made the Chairman of the Constitutional Committee. He was the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution and he is known for strong and united India.

Press Club President Prof. Manish Khanna said that the first description of Indian constitution was described by Granville Austin to achieve social revolution.Baba Saheb Ambedkar's permanent contribution towards the Indian Constitution is very helpful for all citizens of India. Indian Constitution was adopted to make the country safer for the independence of an independent communist, secular autonomous and republican Indian nation, in the form of justice, equality, independence and union. When the Constitution of India was adopted, the citizens of India had entered into a new constitutional, scientific, self-governing and modern India with peace, dignity and progress. The Constitution of India is very unique throughout the world and it took almost 2 years, 11 months and 17 days to pass by the Constituent Assembly.

In his address, Principal Dr. S.K. Describing Dr. Ambedkar as a great law giver and educationist, Dr Arora said that the Indian Constitution has upheld democratic values ??in the country so far, which is credited to the Constitution makers. He said that Dr. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Constitution, put all his life in the upliftment of the welfare of the Indian society and the weaker sections.

Meanwhile, Press Club Teacher Incharge Prof. Jyoti Vardhan Mahajan and other members of the Press Club were also present.
