RATAN LAL JOINS AS GENERAL MANAGER OF RCF KAPURTHALA

Kapurthala, September 23, 2017: Shri Ratan Lal, an Officer of 1980 batch of Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers has joined as General Manager of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala.

Born in 1959, Shri Ratan Lal, an alumini of MNIT/Jaipur joined Indian Railways as a probationer in 1982. During his 35 years of service, he has worked in various capacities in different railway zones as Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Bikaner Division in North Western Railway, Divisional Railway Manager of Rangiya Division of North Frontier Railway and Asst. General Manager/ NF Rly. He has also rendered services as Chief Electrical Engineer in North Frontier Railway, Guwahti besides other notable railway establishments.

Shri Ratan Lal has widespread experience in railway working and maintenance of crucial electrical installations in Railways including AC Coaches and Electric Locomotives, electrical traction loco operation and traction distribution systems, air-conditioning of coaches and train lighting systems. He has also dealt with design of electrical Power supply system including Power cars and modification of higher capacity air conditioning systems in coaches.

Sh. Ratan Lal is quite familiar with RCF, as he has served here as Chief Electrical Services Engineer and Chief Electrical Design Engineer during the years 2010 and 2011. Before his present assignment, he has been the Chief Electrical Engineer of Western Railway.

Widely traveled abroad, he is visionary in developments/improvements in rail systems worldwide.
