`Helpline’ to be launched for youth: Chairman Bindra

Ludhiana: In a bid to make direct contact between youth and Punjab Government and to know their problems, a helpline would be started soon. Expressing these views, the Chairman of Punjab Youth Development Board, Mr Sukhwinder Singh Bindra told that Punjab Government was fully committed to make every effort for the upliftment of youth of the state. Mr Bindra attended a school function as chief guest organized in the local Guru Nanak Bhawan today. 

Talking to reporters after the event, Sh. Bindra said that this helpline would be controlled by the Cabinet Minister of Youth Services Punjab, Chairman Punjab Youth Development Board and senior IAS officer of the department. 

He said that when the youth would contact the department through this helpline, necessary instructions would be issued to concerned department or officials to resolve their problem immediately. It will also provide a platform for the youth to take up their demands in front of the government. The Punjab Government is committed to take every step for the welfare of every section of the state, especially the youth.

The Punjab Youth Development Board has been re-energized by the Punjab Government to engage the youth of the state towards constructive activities. The Board is trying to resolve all issues related to youth on a priority basis and help the youth in the development of the state. Sh. Bindra invited the youth to come forward to make state one of the best state in the context of youth affairs.

He said that Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and the Punjab Government were determined to take every step for the welfare of the youth. During the ceremony, he wished a bright future for the school children and congratulated them on their achievements.
