Jalandhar, December 24, 2014: Celebration is a kind of food we all need in our lives, and each individual brings a special recipe or offering, so that together we will make a great feast.  Celebration is a human need that we must not, and cannot, deny.  It is richer and fuller when many work and then celebrate together. When you are looking to have fun, you really don’t have to look too hard. All you need to do is round up a few of your most fun loving pals and head to a carnival.

Cambridge has always believed in spreading happiness through sharing and the joy of giving. Celebrating the same spirit Cambridge International School Chotti Baradari organised a Carnival in the school campus as a part of Christmas celebrations. It was organised while keeping the interest of the children in mind. The carnival was inaugurated by Mona Bhatia and Pooja Bhatia.

It was full of various attractions. A number of stalls were installed. The food stall included a variety of delicious items like French fries, Noodles, Pizza, Burger, Manchurian, Patty, Sandwiches etc.  Children relished all these mouth watering food items.

They were overwhelmed by playing the games at the game zone. Games like Shooting the Balloon, Spin-the-Wheel and Dropping the coin in the ring were the star attractions and the children realised the importance of concentration while playing the games.

There was another attraction for the book lovers at the Gift Cart where the children picked up the books of their interest. They looked quite excited as they could find a few books which they wanted to read for a long time and they were available to them at half the price.

The joy was at its peak when they visited the music stall and heard to their favorite singers and their favorite numbers.  They enjoyed dedicating the songs to their favourite teachers and friends as they danced to the beats and enjoyed every bit of the festivity.

The mood of the carnival was at its full swing at Cambridge. Children enjoyed to their heart’s content. They were enthralled with the atmosphere which was filled with merriment and joy all over. Everyone was found wearing Santa cap and were overjoyed with excitement. Red colour dominated the carnival. Every one included red colour in the attire and they all looked beautiful. The carnival created a different kind of atmosphere where teachers and children were found enjoying it together.

Such celebrations not only bring happiness and gaiety but also inculcate life skills in the children. They learn to handle money independently and it also instills the values like secularism and respect for the other religion in them.

The carnival was not a mere celebration time for the children but it was organized for a cause and all the money collected was donated to a welfare society that works for underprivileged children of the society.

Chairman Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Chairman Deepak Bahtia, Director Learning wings J K Kohli, Nitin Kohli , Academic Director Deepa Dogra and Principal Kiranjoth  Dhillon graced the occasion with their presence and appreciated the effort a lot.
