Cargill Picks GKU Students For Jobs

Talwandi Sabo, May 15, 2017: Guru Kashi University (GKU) has started a vigorous drive for placement of its students for different jobs. In the recent past several reputed companies have visited the university for on campus placements. The Cargill Cattle Feed a US Multinational company with its branch offices in Punjab and Haryana has selected 18 Agriculture and Veterinary Science students of GKU for various jobs.
The Placement and Corporate Resource Cell of GKU organised the placement drive and the company executives conducted the written test, aptitude test, group discussion and interviews of students .
The Director of the Cell Prof. Mehboob Singh Gill, said that the drive started under the directions of the worthy Vice chancellor Col. Dr. B. S. Dhaliwal has produced encouraging results.
The GKU VC, Dr. Dhaliwal said that GKU prepares its students for the corporate sector and the curriculum designed in a need based manner as per the growing global requirements. He also appreciated the efforts of Dean Agriculture Dr. Ajmer Singh Sidhu and his staff for nurturing the students upto this level.
The placement drive is steered under the patronage of GKU, MD S. Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, congratulated Prof. Gill and the selected students further he said that the reputation of GKU has made it a preferred destination by the students from far and near.
