‘National Communal Harmony Week’ and ‘Flag Day’ celebrated
Ludhiana, November 22, 2018: ‘National Communal Harmony Week’ and ‘Flag Day’ was celebrated today in Auditorium of College Campus. The chief guest, on the occasion, was Mrs Sunila Gupta along with Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta. Also present on the occasion were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Dean Academics Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina and Medical Supdt Dr Sandeep Sharma. The function was coordinated by Anatomy Department of DMCH. Dr Hitant Vohra (Professor & Head of Anatomy) extended warm welcome to the dignitaries present on the occasion and acknowledged the whole-hearted involvement of the participants and faculty and student members. Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, in his message, said that maintaining communal harmony and improving religious tolerance is the need of the hour. In today’s time, there are more crimes which are committed in the name of religion and we, as responsible citizens should abstain from indulging in such unlawful activities. Students of Dayanand Medical College and College of Nursing participated with great enthusiasm and fervor in various competitions including collage making, poster presentation, declamation contest and many more. The students also participated in ‘group song’ activity which filled the auditorium with air of patriotism and national integration. A choreography performance on the ‘Safety of girl child’ was also very well depicted by the students of College of Nursing. They also did group dance on the number of patriotic songs. The function got ended with prize distribution ceremony, in winners of various completions were awarded prizes and certificates by dignitaries present on the occasion. In the end, a vibrant Bhangra performance was done on the stage which made the audience danced on their tones.
