Students participate in Youth Parliament at KMV Collegiate Sr.Sec.School, Jalandhar on Thursday.

 

Jalandhar, May 22, 2015: K.M.V Collegiate Sr.Sec.School, Department of Political Science organised Youth Parliament which received a tremendous response from students of all faculties. Students donned the role of Home Minister, Defence Minister, Women Empowerment Minister, HRD Minister, Law Minister, Environment Minister and Irrigation Minister etc. Socially pertinent issues like Make in India, Swachh Bharat, Corruption, Women Empowerment, Digital India, Poverty, Sexual Harassment & Violation of Women Rights were among the many issues discussed. Principal Dr.(Prof.) Atima Sharma appreciated the huge participation of the students. She said that such platforms developed in the students an insight into the working of the Parliament, helped them to form correct opinions on socially relevant issues. She also commented that such occasions helped to develop leadership qualities and make students realise that they could change the future agenda for the country. It would take the country forward congratulated the teachers who organised the Parliament.
