YAD protests outside Flipkart warehouse against photograph of Golden Temple on foot mat

Ludhiana, February 5, 2019: The Youth Akali Dal (YAD) workers led by district president Meetpal Singh Dugri staged protest outside the warehouse of Flipkart Company in Ludhiana for pasting photograph of Golden Temple on foot mat. The Youth Akali Dal demanded case against CEO of Flipkart for hurting religious sentiments of Sikh Community.

The Youth Akali Dal workers closed the door of warehouse and warned the company to apologise and remove photograph.

Advocate Meetpal Singh Dugri said that the foot mat with photograph of Golden Temple is available on Flipkart which has deeply hurt the sentiments of Sikh community. The company has designed the photograph of Golden Temple which is on foot mat which will not be tolerated at any cost. He said that today it was the symbolic protest against the company but they will sharpen the agitation if police will not register case against company.

He further said that earlier also they had protested against Amazon company and forced the company to remove photograph of Golden Temple from various items and made the company CEO to apologize.

Youth Akali Dal district president Meetpal Singh Dugri said that the Congress led Punjab Government has closed its eyes over the important and sensitive issues. Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu who use to give statement on every issue has put himself on silent mode on this issue.

On this occasion, Arvinder Rinku, Gurpreet Singh, Raja Kang, Robin Nanda, Jatinder KP, Amarjot Singh, Jashan Kang, Nirbhay Singh, Bablu Dishavar, Avninder Singh Mann and several others were present.
