Workshop on Medical Education being held in DMCH
Ludhiana, August 30, 2018: Medical Education Unit of DMCH organized three-day ‘MCI Revised Basic Course Workshop on Medical Education’ from 27th to 29th August under the aegis of MCI Nodal Centre, CMC, Ludhiana. The workshop was formally inaugurated today by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, who appreciated the conducting of such informative workshop for the benefit of faculty members, by imparting them training to adopt new concepts in teaching and assessment methods and therefore, improving the quality of medical education in the country. Also present on the occasion were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Medical Suptd. Dr Sandeep Sharma and Assistant Dean Academics Dr Sandeep Kaushal. Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Dean Academics & Co-ordinator Medical Education Unit conducted the proceedings and gave a lecture on ‘How to effectively take a Lecture’ Dr Dinesh Badyal (FAIMER fellow in International Medical Education) was appointed by Medical Council of India (MCI) as the observer. The first day of the workshop began with welcome address by Principal Dr Sandeep Puri followed by elaborated lecture on ‘Introduction, ice breaking and Group Dynamics’ by Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina. Other speakers who participated in the workshop include Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dr Hema Lata, Dr Sarit Sharma, Dr Kanchan Gupta and Dr Sonia Singh. On the third and concluding day of the workshop to held yesterday, lectures were delivered by Dr Bharti Mahajan, Dr Pooja Tandon, Dr Sanjeev Puri and Dr Anu Sharma. In all 28 faculty members of DMCH participated in the workshop, who expressed their acknowledgement in learning about newer concepts and approaches in the field of medical education training.
