Visit of M.Ed. students of Partap College to Nirdiosh School

Ludhiana, March 10, 2015: As a part of M.Ed. curriculum, under the subject “Children with Special Needs“,13 students of M.Ed.class under the guidance of Dr.Sangeeta Sood, Assistant Professor, Partap College of Education visited Nirdosh School for Mentally Challenged Children run by Inner Wheel Club Ludhiana. Fifty two Mentally Retarded children of various I.Q. and of different ages were there. This institution provides training for daily living skills to Mentally Retarded children. Vocational training is also imparted to students. The students of M.Ed. class spent around two hours over there. They interacted with special children, tried to know about their needs and problems. Students also purchased some utility items like bags, candles, envelopes etc. just to appreciate and encourage their efforts. Students and their teacher also presented a token of love to the Principal and also distributed sweets among these differently abled children. On the whole, it was a life time learning experience. This all was done under the guidance of Dr. Balwant Singh, Principal of Partap College of Education, Ludhiana.
