Dharamshala, October 02, 2017: Union Minister for Electronics, IT & Law & justice Mr Ravi Shankar Parsad has alleged Virbhdara Singh-led HP government for avoiding to do centre aided works in the state as it fears that the voters will turn towards the development encouraging Modi Government which is continuously extending monetary help to HP.
Talking to media in Dharamshala on Monday Minister said, “The state government have not deposited its share in the works of Smart City Dharamshala, and out of the total 2623 kms of NH in State 740 kms are being maintained by the centre where as the rest of the road have to be maintained by state. For preparation of its DPR the centre has given 280 crore to HP, and the state government has not even unutilised the same.”
Minister said that in the state like HP where the Railways network is less the roads are the necessity of the public and state government is avoiding its development. He said that the centre gave a 50% increase to the state in 14th finance commission in comparison to 13th, but the state government is not interested in the development of the state.
mr Ravi Shankar said, "Himachal is the only state in the history of the country where the government is on bail. Its CM, his wife and son are all on bail on corruption charges. He appealed the people of Himachal to vote for BJP far development and honesty in the coming assembly elections in HP.
Replying to a question, Minister said that to speed up the justice Rs 5500 crore were spend on infrastructure in judiciary from 1995 till date and BJP government has spent Rs 2500 crore in last three years. He added that 150 judges were appointed in High courts and 3000 in civil courts in last three years. “The pendency of cases in High courts and Supreme court has reduced,” said the minister.
Ex-CM and current BJP MP of the area Mr Shanta Kumar was also present in press briefing.
