Vigilance nabs Surveyor of Forest Department in graft case

Chandigarh, April 7, 2015: Vigilance Bureau today nabbed Surveyor of Forest Department red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.5000.

Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Sulakhanpal Singh posted as Surveyor in Forest Department at Gurdaspur was nabbed on the complaint of Lakhwinder Singh of village Pahado Chak District Pathandkot. Complainant Lakhwinder Singh has alleged that he has procured a Saw Mill from a person Rajinder Singh. He complained that he approached Surveyor Sulakhanpal Singh in Forest Department to get a license to run the Saw Mill. Surveyor Sulakhanpal Singh demanded a bribe of Rs. 15,000 for issuing a license but the deal was struck at Rs. 5000.

On the tip off the complainant a trap was laid by the sleuths of Vigilance Bureau and the Surveyor Sulakhanpal Singh was nabbed red handed while receiving the bribe.
