Videocon being presented The National Energy Conservation Award.
Chandigarh, December 18, 2015: Videocon, the leading consumer electronics brand with one of the largest indigenous manufacturing in the country, today added another feather to its cap by winning the first prize for best Manufacturers of BEE Star Labeled Appliances, in the refrigerator category, at the National Energy Conservation Award – 2015. Organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, the award aims at giving national recognition to companies who have made significant contributions in creating awareness towards and production of energy efficient appliances.
On receiving the prestigious award Mr. Abhijit Kotnis, Head of Manufacturing, Videocon, said, “We feel privileged to be recognized for our endless efforts in presenting the best to our patrons. It is our endeavour to achieve the highest standards for our products and for that we relentlessly adhere to best practices.We will continue to combine technology and innovation to all our products as well make it viable for our consumers.”
The awards ceremony was held in the capital on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day. Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, ShriPiyushGoyal graced the event as the chief guest for the ceremony and presented the awards to all the winners.
