Ludhiana, April 10, 2015: A delegation of Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana comprising of Avtar Singh, President, Didarjeet Singh, Press Secretary & Rajnish Bansal, Legal Secretary, today called on Madhav Lal, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, GoI and submitted presentation pertaining to industrial issues, prepared by Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU.
After patient hearing and taking into consideration the facts apprised by the Delegation Madhav Lal, announced relief for MSME Sector as under :
 ?  Benefits/subsidy limit for credit linked capital subsidy schemes (CLCSS) will be revised soon for facilitating up-gradation of MSME Sector as the investment cost of new machinery has increased manifolds.
?  Finance Minister will be requested for introducing proper mechanism i.e. capping off minimum price of products to plug in counterfeit Chinese goods being routed to India through neighboring countries.
?  To encourage use of hi-tech software by MSMEs for empowering them to attain high level of efficiency, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) will be assigned the job of making bulk purchases to ensure supply of the same at subsidised rates to MSMEs.
?  On allotment of land by Punjab Government, adequate funds will be provided under common infrastructure development fund scheme for establishment of permanent exhibition centre for Industries at Ludhiana.
?  Sufficient funds will be allocated under Mass Scheme to NSIC so that Micro & Small Units of Punjab States are not deprived of participation in Exhibitions to be held in the current fiscal.
?  Capital subsidy under common infrastructure development scheme will be considered for purchase of equipments and machineries for treatment of effluents by MSMEs; for controlling pollution.
?  Enhancement in investment caps of MSMEs has been approved by Union Cabinet as under :
•         Micro Enterprises from Rs. 25.00 to Rs. 50.00 Lacs.
•         Small Enterprises from Rs. 5.00 to 10.00 Crores.
•         Medium Enterprises exceeding Rs. 10.00 to 30.00 Crores. 
•         Notification to said effect shall be issued very soon.
?  For speedy development of MSMEs, MSME Ministry will provide the facilitation for import of hi-tech machinery from abroad .
?  There is no ban presently imposed by Govt. of India on import of used/2nd machinery for domestic manufacturers.
?  MSMEs will be reimbursed full financial assistance for participation in International Trade Fairs/Exhibitions as permissible under International Cooperation Scheme.
?  A Committee of Key MSMEs under the Chairmanship of Director, MSME-DI will be constituted for monitoring implementation and follow up of various schemes in operation for the development MSME Sector.
