Veteran SAD leader Hari Singh file nomination papers on the last day

Ferozepur, January 18, 2017: On the last day of filing nominations, veteran SAD leader and Four time MLA from Zira, Hari Singh Zira filed his nomination papers today after holding a huge rally at local grain market. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Union Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament from Bathinda also reached there to boost the morale of the workers. During her address she also promised to provide cabinet birth to the veteran SAD leader.

It is pertinent to mention here that two year ago, Hari Singh Zira along with his son Avtar Singh Minna and his wife Jaswinder Kaur, had quit all the party posts to express his anguish with the party leadership for not being included in the state cabinet. However, later he was persuaded by the senior Badal himself.

It is pertinent to mention here that Hari Singh has won this seat four times before this. After the rally, Hari Singh filed his nomination papers. During her address, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, blow the trumpet of SAD-BJP regime and said that the people will not fall into the traps of fake promises made by Congress and AAP. She said that the state has seen the development which it had not witnessed for the last 65 years.

Sukhpal Singh Nannu, BJP Candidate from Ferozepur (Urban) constituency also filed his nomination papers today and once again put up a united show. Nannu was accompanied with Kamal Sharma, former State BJP Chief, Ravinder Singh Sandhu alias Babbal, former CPS and MLA, Ashwani Grover, President Municipal Council, DP Chandan, Chairman, Planning Board, Ferozepur, Davinder Bajaj, District BJP President and several other leader.
