Vasu Kumra wins Gold and Bronze medal in U-20 Category and Senior category

Jalandhar, December 27, 2018: The field of Martial Arts was added to the ever extending excellence catalogue of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar when Vasu Kumra, student of BA Semester-I, won Gold and Bronze medal in the Under-20 Category and senior category respectively while competing in the Commonwealth Karate Championship held at Durban, South Africa. College Principal Dr.Gurpinder Singh Samra honoured the victorious student and congratulated him on earning this laurel for the college. Principal Dr. G.S. Samra also hoped that such trend in the field of sports would continue to add similar feathers to the college achievement collections in the future as well. President College Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur also conveyed a message of congratulations to the student. Also present on the occasion were, Dr. Jaspal Singh, Head of the Physical Education Department and Prof. Jasvir Madhar.
